A Day in the Life at Canuck Palms

A Day in the Life at Canuck Palms

30 December, 2016

Chase treats us to pancakes this morning which is a nice surprise.  We pack up the car shortly after 9am and head towards town.  We stop at AID and buy some new door mats for the house.  We swing by Darville Lumber and purchase some paint for the front door of the house and the ceiling.

We stop at Jolly Hall beach just before we get to town, close to Hideaways Beach Club.  This is where Chase found his first starfish years ago.  We set up the beach chairs and walk the beach.  We have an amazing day.  I see a sea turtle swim past me…a baby one.  Chase flies his kite again up and down the beach.

We pack up mid afternoon and stop by the Exuma Market and Prime Island Meats for New Years Eve munchies.  When we arrive home Heather prepares fresh pizza, and Chase and I drive around the corner to Bowes Convenience for water and some snacks.

We get a call at dinner time from our friend Wade.  He invites us to Georgetown tonight for the annual Exuma Police Christmas party!  We gladly say yes and get ready to go as soon as we are finished our pizza!  We arrive at the police station around 7pm and meet Wade.  Chase runs to the car and brings Wade his Christmas present.  The music has started and you can smell the chicken and ribs cooking on the bbq.

What a great night.  Wade introduces us to his Commanding Officer, and we get the chance to sit down with the retired Deputy Commissioner of the Bahamas Police Force.  What an experience.  We are so glad we came.  Thank you Wade again for bringing us to such a great event.  We arrive home just after 10pm.  Tomorrow is a big day…New Years Eve in Exuma!
